Meadowsweet Fine Silver Pendant

A delighful leaf shaped pendant. This pendant is made of fine silver (99.9%) in the Midas Jewellery workshop and hallmarked. The Meadowsweet pendant would make a lovely bridesmaid gift or present for someone special.

Meadowsweet is inspired by the leaves on a plant living beside the stream in the Midas Jewellery Garden

This necklace is a one-off handmade item. Only one is available as it is individually designed and made around a real leaf. The silver clay is painted on to the leaf, each layer is repeated until several different layers form on the surface of the silver. The leaf is then fired in a kiln where the original leaf burns away giving you a unique piece of jewellery. The fired piece is then polished and can be coloured with liver of sulphur to accentuate the detail of the leaf or left clear to give a high shine.

This process means that no two pieces will ever come out exactly the same giving you a unique and beautiful piece of jewellery. .Leaves will differ due to seasonal availability.

16 or 18 inch Silver snake chain and a lobster clasp are used.

The necklace is approximately 5.5 wide x 9.5cm long

This process works best on non-glossy leaves and those with good veining.
