We offer a Midas Jewellery Silver Clay Workshop for those who want to be creative. Choose from a sample of designs or create your own jewellery.
Come for a day.
You will make at least 2 items with your 20g of silver clay/ syringe clay these could include a necklace and earrings or brooch. Great for your own treat or as presents.
A kiln is used to fire the silver.
Children over 8 can join in the group provided they are with a responsible adult.
Itinerary - A typical session consists of:
10.00-10.30am Registration & Coffee
Introduction to Silver Clay workshop - Kit, basic equipment & technique, health & safety
Demonstration of using silver clay
Play time - design your own pendant, earrings and or brooch
Demonstration
Play time with tutor support
Prepare items for oven baking
Light Lunch
Preparing baked clay for the kiln.

All items must be in the kiln for firing by 3pm
Clay firing
3.00pm Tea
Preparation of Fired items for polishing
Adding findings
4.00pm Depart with your creations
A basic kit of tools (returnable) will be provided along with 1 pack of 20g silver clay or syringe, sterling silver bail and necklace and earring findings.
